Sharing an oldie

Hey all, sorry I haven't been around a whole lot. I've been pretty busy and although I started a new kit a few weeks ago with a punk theme to it, I just haven't been feeling inspired enough to finish it. I hope to finish it soon though cause I'd like to make a Thanksgiving\fall kit as well, but who knows. Anyway, since It's been so long since my last freebie, I thought I would re-introduce a mini Christmas kit I did last year called Bring On The Cheer. I didn't finish it until after Christmas so it will be new to most of you. LOL so here it is...enjoy!

Heart Element Freebie

Well, I did have to work last night but, I get a three day weekend. We're off Monday!!! Im so happy. I've been playing in psp today and I came up with some heart elements. I kinda liked them better with the doodle attached but, I thought some of you might want to use them without it. So, the doodle and the hearts are separate. Halloween Kit

Well, I was able to finish this kit a lot sooner than I thought I would. Things are slow at work so they called everyone and told us not to come in last night. I could use the money but, I don't mind losing a day's pay. It's definately worth it to be at home relaxing with my boys. There's a slight chance we might not work tonight either....everyone cross your fingers for me!
Im not thrilled about this kit but, I did try my best and I hope some of you like it and find it useful. Not all elements are shown in the preview. Anyway, here it is...

Some Wonderful People Out There

I really should have a started a blog a lot sooner. I am meeting some very kind people. Thank you all for your wonderful comments. I was almost ready to give up scrap designing altogether because I really didn't feel I was any good at it, but you all have changed my mind. HUGE thanks to Shannon from Memories Made Easy!!! She did a very sweet thing for me. She made me a banner for my blog because she noticed I didn't have one. If you get the chance please visit her blog. She's got some great stuff.

My Native Heart Freebie

Wow! It's been so windy here last night and this morning due to Hurricane Ike. The rain was pouring down earlier but seems to have slowed down...for now. Thank goodness. I finally have my Native American themed freebie kit ready for you guys. This kit is VERY special to me. Im dedicating it my Grandmother Wanda Virginia Philyaw who was Native American. She taught my cousins and I so much about family and loving each other and if we acted up, believe me she never hesitated to threaten to scalp us. Sometimes, I wondered if she actually meant it. LOL
I made a layout from the kit. It's not great but, it's the first I've ever done. Anyway, the layout and previews from the kit along with the download links are below. I'd love to hear your thoughts (and my blog needs some comments lol) so, please let me know what you think.

Remember them in your prayers and a freebie

It's been three years since Katrina and hurricanes still freak me out. I lived in Gulfport, Ms for five years and evacuated for Katrina and I've been back here in TN since then. I have only been back once...just to see what was left of my former life. We lost everything but, life has been so much better here and things have worked out great for us. Im so worried for everyone on the coast right now as this may be happening again. My sister-in-law still lives there and we haven't heard from her yet. Please remember these people in your prayers. You don't really understand how devestating it is until it happens to you. For a while I was depressed over losing everything but, in the end it's all just stuff and Im still here. I hadn't realized how hard it was on my son either until the other night when he overheard me talking to my husband about Gustav and he said "Oh no, we're not gonna have to move and lose all our stuff again are we?" Of course I assured him that TN doesn't have hurricanes but I guess it still upsets him too.
On a lighter note, I've been working on a Native American themed scrap kit but who knows when I'll get that finished with all the hours I've been working lately. Also, I have several older kits and designs in my 4 shared folder if you'd like to check those out. Sorry no previews. The link is below. In the meantime I've been playing with Ripples Magic again and have some more flowers for you. I think I'm improving...what do you think?

I have a blog!

Well folks, I finally have a blog. I wasn't sure if I should start one with all I have going on. My husband who is 37, is a diabetic. Last year he lost his left leg and back in March his kidneys shut down. My son is back in school and he's not happy about it either. LOL Since he goes to a private school and Phil has dialysis three times a week I carry Jake back and forth and I work a full time job, second shift at a local factory. With all this and finding time for everything else there isn't much time left for paintshop so, forgive me if there are long breaks between posts. I know you'll understand since most you aren't here to read about my crazy life anyway, you're here for the freebies...and yes I have one for you! I made a set of flowers from the one I used in my header. These are my first flowers made with the Ripples Magic plugin. Im kinda proud of them since I had no tutorial to follow. Just kinda winged it. So, without further ado here's the freebie.
